Some Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How do I start?
A: Starting the process is easy. Simply send us an email or call us on the phone to set up your ‘TCP First Step’ meeting. One of our Health Coaches will contact you within 48 hours to choose a time and place that works best for your schedule. At this time, you will leave a credit card number as a deposit to hold your appointment. Once at your First Step meeting, you and your Health Coach will review information from our TCP Health History forms (these forms may be filled out online after scheduling your appt, or once you arrive at this First Step meeting), and begin a conversation focusing on your unique and specific health concerns and goals. Your Health Coach will educate you on TCP’s programs and make a recommendation suitable for you, your lifestyle, and your needs. After registering for your program, you will schedule future appointment dates with your Coach. From that point, all you do is show up – and we walk you through the rest!
Q: How will I know which program is best for me?
A: Your Certified TCP Health Coach will recommend which TCP program option is best for you by the close of your First Step meeting. Regardless of your concern, all entry-level TCP clients must begin working with our company’s offerings by scheduling TCP First Step.
Q: Where will our sessions take place? And how often and for how long do we meet?
A: The Cleansing Project is a mobile company, serving clients living in Manhattan and across Long Island. As such, we are proud to offer a meeting place that is convenient for you and your schedule. Common places include: a coffee shop, health food store, tea house, or even in the comfort of your own kitchen! Once accepted as a client, you will meet with your personal Health Coach twice a month for 50-minutes sessions. Email support is available between sessions and all of our programs come with extensive materials to educate and inspire. Please keep in mind that our team is constantly growing, and we hope to have TCP coaches serving a wider range soon enough. In the meantime, TCP has recently announced Long-Distance Programs, utilizing skype and facetime technologies, to help and assist out-of-towners and those with special schedule requests who are eager to work with our coaches.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept cash, checks, VISA, MC, and AMEX credit cards.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: TCP has a strict 48 hour cancellation policy. Our Health Coaches book their time and commit to your personal promise of effort. Prioritizing time for your sessions is a huge part in learning to prioritize time for yourself and for your health. We take our appointment times seriously! The Cleansing Project limits the amount of clients accepted each month so our coaches are never rushed and/or over-scheduled. As such, there will be a $75 cancellation fee and full forfeiture of the cancelled session. If you need to cancel and/or reschedule a session date, simply communicate that with more than 48 hours in advance and we will be happy to reschedule.
Q: Can I continue working with TCP and my Health Coach after the completion of my initial program?
A: At the close of your TCP program, the option to advance to the next, more intense program is always available. After completing our 2nd level PROPEL program, you can opt to customize your sessions, moving forward, to have continued support with less structure in our EXCEL program. The goal of all TCP Coaches is to provide coaching until you feel confident taking full responsibility to move forward with your health commitments.
Q: Will I be dieting the whole time on the program? What if I have business lunches and/or dinners and functions to attend?
A: There is NO DIETING at TCP! That’s simply not our bag. At The Cleansing Project, we aim to educate you around wellness and lifestyle options (on the plate and off the plate) that will combine to bring more health and satisfaction to your everyday life. We do this by experimenting with different theories and studying our responses to them. We encourage authentic understanding around what works for you, knowing full-well that you are you and you ain’t nobody else!
Q: I know someone that would LOVE to start TCP but lives outside the immediate NY area. Do you work with long distance clients? What about teenagers?
A: Yes, we do! The Cleansing Project has just expanded its offerings to include our signature Wellness Programs to long distance clients! All coaching sessions will take place via phone and/or skype or facetime (if available). All materials are sent via email and progress is reviewed and aligned with optimal structure and support. Spread the word, and have your friends from afar join you in kicking up more health and happiness! As far as TCP Teen Program, the answer is yes! Our Coaches do work with teenagers to help guide them to make wiser choices towards lasting health and happiness. Of course, implementing some of the healthful tips does depend on parental support, so our most effective coaching with teenagers comes when we also work (independently) with a parent.
Q: I have some food allergies and/or specific health concerns. Is it ok to start TCP?
A: TCP Health Coaches are highly trained to deal with food allergies and a host of specific health concerns. Again, it is important to discuss any major issues and/or concerns with your Coach during your First Step meeting. We do not mean to replace trained, medical professionals and will be honest, as your safety and health is our utmost pledge, to refer you to another health professional should we feel your issues are beyond our scope.
Q: When will TCP Movement offerings be available?
A: We are currently in the final stages of building a stellar cast of coaches for our TCP Movement Division. We will let you know as soon as we’re set to go!
